Campaigns cost money, no doubt about it. From campaign mailers, postage, yard signs (with metal stakes), office supplies, t-shirts for volunteers, push-cards, and staff pay, no campaign can survive without the generous support of people like you.

Your financial support of the Elect Linus Spiller Campaign is vital in sending me to Dallas City Hall to fight and advocate for the deserving residents of District 6, a council district that has historically been treated like an afterthought.

In the West Dallas area of District 6 which for years was known as the “Devil’s Back Porch,” residents have faced a host of issues for decades including institutional racism, environmental injustice in the form of lead poisoning, lack of city services, polluting, poverty, inconsistent law enforcement, non-engagement of residents in Trinity River discussions even though the river runs directly through West Dallas, and most recently, gentrification.

In the Northwest area of District 6, public safety is a continuing issue with residents facing gunfire nearly every night, excessive speeding that has led to deaths and destruction of personal property (requiring the filing of insurance claims), encroachment of the homeless population, and a resurgence of sex trafficking of under-age girls and boys despite decades long efforts by resident leaders to clean up the red light district in the most western section of the district.

To combat these issues, I need your vote and I need your campaign contribution to fight on your behalf at city hall on these issues.
